Now that classes have come to a close and winter is upon us it’s that time of year to cuddle up in front of your tv, laptop, or tablet and settle in for some holiday movies.

With so many streaming services, it’s easy to spend hours perusing your options rather than enjoying your movie.

Save your time with our Top 25 holiday movies list to get you in the spirit of the season and feeling the holiday cheer!

1. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Your favorite troublemaker, Kevin McCallister, is “home alone” in New York City, but he won’t be alone for long because the notorious Wet Bandits, Harry and Marv, are also in the Big Apple!

2. Elf

Looking for a cup of Christmas cheer? You’ll find that and more with this favorite holiday classic starring the ever-funny Will Ferrell.

Remember, smiling is contagious!

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas

More of a Halloween fan? This one might be for you! Join Jack Skellington on his mission to bring Christmas to his town of Halloween.

4. Jingle All the Way

A 90’s classic featuring the Terminator himself — Arnold Schwarzenegger! This movie will have you feeling all the feels as this dad goes above and beyond to make Christmas special for his kid.

5. Deck the Halls

Cue the epic dad-feud as these two families one up each other to show the most holiday spirit in this Christmas classic!

6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

You’ll remember this one from your childhood! Jim Carrey as the Grinch brings all the hilarious one-liners to life. He really is sort of lovable, isn’t he?

7. The Polar Express

All Aboard! Join in on this classic adventure to North Pole that shows one little boy that the wonder of Christmas never fades for those who believe!

8. Home Alone

Cozy up for every kid’s fantasy — having the house to yourself! Kevin’s family mistakenly leaves him at home over the holidays, and the adventures take off from there!

9. The Santa Clause (series)

Ahhh the ever clever “clause” mix-up! See what happens when one man takes on the job of everyone’s favorite Christmas character!

10. Christmas with the Kranks

We’ve all had those vacation dreams to head to the beach for the holidays — see what happens when one family’s vacation holiday doesn’t go quite as planned!

11. Daddy’s Home 2

Daddy’s Home is a comedy that follows father and stepfather. Dusty and Brad join forces to make Christmastime perfect for the children… until their fathers show up and turn the holiday upside down.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is a 1965 animated television special. Get into the holiday spirt as Charlie brown attempts to direct the Christmas play along with a little help from his friends.

13. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

🎶Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, had a very shiny nose; and if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows🎶

Cheer on Rudolph as he proves all his haters wrong and becomes one of Santa’s top reindeer.

Iris agrees to swap homes with similarly unlucky in love Californian Amanda for a much-needed break. Iris finds herself in a Hollywood mansion while Amanda navigates the lanes of a picture-perfect English village. Soon enough, both lovelorn ladies bump into local lads perfect for a romantic pick-me-up.

15. Jack Frost

For all the horror movie junkies, The 1997 Jack Frost movie is a horror movie comedy that takes place in the town of Snowmonton. The week before Christmas, a truck carrying serial killer Jack Frost to his execution gets into a bizarre accident, turning the killer into a mutant snowman.

16. Frozen

Elsa the Snow Queen and her sister Anna embark on an adventure far away from their home of Arendelle. They are joined by friends, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven. Will the fab 5 be able to save the the crown of Arendelle in Elsa’s hands?

17. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas

Join Mickey and the gang for three stories including “A Very Goofy Christmas” and “Mickey and Minnie’s Gift of the Magi!

We all know who tried to steal Christmas that one time, right?

Gather around the TV with your friends and family and watch the heart felt story of a little boy who’s life is changed forever when he meets three wise men.

20. Love Actually

This is the story of 8 different couples trying to navigate their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales. All of their stories are set during the Christmas season in London, England.

21. Frosty the Snowman

A magic top hat brings a snowman to life, bringing joy to the children who made him. That is until Professor Hinkle wants it back — and the heat starts to rise.

22. A Christmas Story

Follow a young boy named Ralphie as he conjures up multiple plans to convince his parents, his teacher and Santa that a Red Ryder BB gun is the perfect gift for Christmas.

23. It’s a Wonderful Life

George Bailey is a businessman in need of help. It’s Christmas Eve and he plans on taking his own life until his Guardian Angel, Clarence, arrives. Clarence shows George the impact his life has had on others and what would have happened if he was never around.

24. A Christmas Prince

This film is a romantic comedy about a young American journalist, Amber Moore, who is tasked with investigating Prince Richard of Aldovia. In a strange turn of events, Amber is now working undercover in the castle and learns of a threatening scheme to dethrone the prince.

25. Die Hard

Not your typical holiday film — Die Hard is about NYPD detective John McClane. While McClane’s wife is attending her employer’s Christmas Party, a German terrorist group takes everyone hostage. He must now try to save everyone at the party.
