Spring deadlines are approaching and due dates are actually starting to become real.

You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed this month as your classes are winding down and the semester is coming to a close — but fear not, there are plenty of opportunities to relax and de-stress on campus!

1. Stressbusters

Meet your new best friends! Stressbusters are students trained in stress-relieving massage techniques that will leave you feeling refreshed and energized after a 5 minute session.

If you’re feeling overworked or tense from your busy schedule, Stressbusters hold events at least once per week and their services are free for students! Learn more about their events and stress-relieving powers here.

2. Paws Your Stress

It’s been proven that spending time with animals can reduce stress levels and even boost productivity!

If you’re missing your fluffy friend back home, Paws Your Stress brings all the perks of having a pet right to your favorite study spot. What do you have to lose? Take a break and spend some time with a Jack’s best friend — see their schedule of events for where they’ll be next!

3. Campus Recreation Run Maps

If getting your blood pumping is how you recharge — Campus Rec has got you covered with pre-mapped runs/hikes throughout campus. Pick one of their many runs based on location, difficulty level and length and you’ll be sure to get your mind clear and your heart going!

4. Mindful Meditation at the International Pavillion

Searching for something more introspective? Practice mindful meditation in a group or on your own with one of the many free classes offered at the International Pavillion!

Here’s a quick list of some of the many options:

Zumba™ with Eleni — FREE!

Mondays, 4:15 -5 p.m.
International Pavilion, Room 104

Lose yourself in the music while sculpting and toning at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. No registration required!

Gentle Yoga with Sofia — FREE!

Wednesdays, 12:15–1 p.m.
International Pavilion, Room 104

Build flexibility and improve posture through a series of gentle yoga poses. Relax and release stress while stretching and toning all over. This class is designed for all ages and skill levels but will focus more on the stretching and mental side of yoga rather than getting a work out. With gentle movements this class brings greater awareness to the breath and meditation practices associated with yoga. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. No registration required!

All Levels Yoga with Devin — FREE!

Thursdays, 12:15–1 p.m.
International Pavilion, Room 104

Designed for both beginners and advanced yogis, this class can range from a movement based work out to a long held stretching class to a deep meditation. Appropriate for all ages and skills levels, this class offers modifications to help you tailor your practice to your physical and mental needs. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. No registration required!

5. Stress-Less Workshops

If you’re struggling to put your finger on what really stresses you, Health Promotions offers an hour-long workshop that can help you narrow down what stresses you and how to manage it all.

You’ll be provided with guided receiving techniques that include visualization and deep breathing exercises.
