The summer months are the perfect time to explore in Flagstaff. No matter your fitness level — you can find a trail that’s right for you. With over 130 trails in the area, hiking is an activity that never gets old in Flagstaff.

2. Cool Off at a Local Swimming Hole

Beat the heat in middle of a hike with a little water fun! Now is the time to explore the beautiful, refreshing swimming holes in the area. From Flagstaff to Sedona and Williams — these hikes are a fun way to cool down while exploring.

3. Check out the Art Scene at First Friday ArtWalk

The ArtWalk is a great way to get out and celebrate Flagstaff businesses, artists, and the culture. Every First Friday of the month, shops and galleries feature different artists and their works. Enjoy live music and visit more unique vendors in Heritage Square.

4. Shop Local at the Flagstaff Farmer’s Market

Do your shopping at the farmer’s market, where you can find local, sustainably grown food, hand-crafted products, even treats for your pup. The farmer’s market is a great way to support small-scale farmers. Even if you’re not looking to shop, the market is a great way to get outside and enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend.

5. Explore the Murals Downtown

Everywhere you walk, there’s something to see! Be inspired by more than 40 pieces of public art around town.

Can’t wait ’til the weekend for the farmer’s market? Head downtown for your mid-week pick me up!

The mid-week Community Market is a great place for a shopping spree. Come support local businesses, grab some food, and enjoy live music.

Flagstaff is filled with good food AND good views. While our friends down south are staying indoors, we can spend our mornings and nights soaking up the nice weather.

8. Yoga on the Lawn

Take in the fresh air and move your body too 🧘‍♀️

Start your Saturday with an outdoor community yoga class 🧘‍♀️ The class is only $5, and you’ll need to bring a yoga mat. Whether you consider yourself a beginner or experienced yogi, the event accommodates all levels.
