Hello y’all! My name is Allie, I’m a Junior studying Exercise Science here at NAU! Here’s my life in 5 pictures!

I’m a transfer student

When I started college, I actually began at Colorado State University.

However, I soon realized that CSU wasn’t for me and decided to apply for NAU.

I really liked Flagstaff because it still had the Colorado vibes, but it also had an awesome Exercise Science program.

While changing schools was far from easy, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m happy to be h🌲me.

My Support System

When I was at CSU I joined Kappa Delta! When I came to NAU I was able to join it here too. It was great having a support system throughout my transition and a group of ladies that shared my same values and interests.

Having this group of sisters means having a person to go get Mcdonalds or Sonic with you at 1 am, having a shoulder to cry on even when you don’t know the story, and having a person to help you laugh when the world seems to be crumbling down. It’s always having someone for every aspect of life.

My favorite part of being in a sorority is being able to put hours into our philanthropies which are Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of America. I also love that we have a confidence coalition, as it helps build up confidence in everyone not just those in the sorority.

I can save your life 🏊‍

I’ve been a certified lifeguard for 4 years.

The exciting thing about lifeguarding is that there’s always something interesting going on and it requires all your attention. It’s also pretty cool to know that I can save someone’s life if it comes to it.

How I spend my summers

During the summers I work at a Boy Scout Camp on Catalina Island — something I’ve done since 2012 (6 summers so far)!

It’s literally the best job ever because I get to teach merit badges, lifeguard, and help accomplish making the campers week the best of their lives

I have 9 tattoos total. Most are small but signify something different in my life. I love getting a new tattoo — there’s just something about getting it done and meeting a new artist that makes it so fun.

My favorite tattoo is on my ribs and it is an anchor that has the phrase hold fast and “F&CL” in it. It is a matching tattoo I got with my best friend that represents us and the Boy Scout Camp where we met.
