Fat Man’s Loop

This trail is a dog favorite for hiking. With wildflowers, small oak trees and large boulders, the moderate 2.5-mile loop is enjoyable for dogs and their owners. There are some steep portions on the Fat Man’s Loop where your pup may need your assistance.
For more of a challenge, you may choose to extend your hike to the Mt. Elden Lookout trail, which has more elevation gain, or take the Pipeline Trail that goes all the way to Buffalo Park.

Buffalo Park

This two-mile loop is an easy, flat, pet-friendly trail with plenty of beautiful scenery for you and your pup to take in.
Located just northeast of downtown, Buffalo Park has views of the Peaks and Mt. Elden, and you may spot some wildlife.
If your dog is a social butterfly, this trail is for you.
Snowbowl

Enjoy a peaceful sunset with your pup or a scenic hike through the dog-friendly trails at the Arizona Snowbowl.
The Aspen Nature Loop Trail is a dog favorite at Snowbowl, a 2.7-mile moderate trail that features wild flowers and beautiful aspen trees.
Your dog will love crunching on the colorful leaves during the fall season while you take in the scenery.
