Here’s my life summed up in 5 pics 👇🏼
The BAE Area is my home 🌉
I grew up in Marin County, just 15 minutes north of San Francisco.
In my opinion, there is no other place in America I can think of that is prettier than the Bay Area — although Flagstaff does come in a close second!
San Francisco = endless opportunity. I have many connections back home and I take advantage of them by working with them and reaching out to other major companies/people to build a stronger relationships.
Surfing into clarity🏄
I’ve been surfing since I was 14 years old. It’s one of my favorite outdoor sports and is a great way to take some time to myself while still being active.
I learned how to surf in San Diego with my friend John. He kind of just threw me out into the waves and let me learn by experience. Many wipeouts later I finally caught my first wave and rode it out — one of my best and favorite moments.
Surfing into a sunset is truly a beautiful experience. I’m able to think peaceful thoughts and feel out the wave. My body is always relaxed that what allows me to carve the waves more smoothly and clear my mind too.
Perfecting my craft 📷
For the past three years, I’ve been working on perfecting my craft — photography. I have my own own business back in San Francisco and love to shoot everything from landscapes to portraits to weddings and lifestyle. I also make cinematic videos for my YouTube channel.
I realized that I had an eye for photos when I took my first long exposure of a city highway and the stars were in the background sky at night. That photo got featured on many Instagram accounts and was rated my top photo of 2016.
One of my favorite shoots was for the CNN project “The Great Big Story.” I worked with photographers and representatives from CNN to film a sporting event in my local arena. We had a lot of laughs and all went out to dinner after the shoots. It was very successful and ended up with me being credited on their website with the project.
Stand out from the crowd
I have a unique photo style that has taken a lot of practice to perfect. It took me about a year to finally get my photo style mastered.
What does it look like? In my edits I always bring out the blue and warm tones. It adds character as well as good use of color and contrasts on the final edit.
I love going out with my drone and capturing aerial photos and videos — the video files are completely breathtaking.
Down for adventure
One of the reasons I decided to come to NAU was so I could be surrounded by nature and all four seasons.
I love exploring and I’m always down for an adventure. I love going to Sedona and taking my camera out to capture photos and videos!
