I came to NAU in 1993 as an undergraduate student.

North Quad, where I used to study as a student

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Never do anything without passion.
What is one tip every Lumberjack should know?
It might be quicker to walk than take the bus.
Whats your favorite NAU tradition?
The decorated Christmas tree on north campus 🎄
What do you want the NAU community to know about your department/class?
We are deeply committed to our students as a whole person and bringing humanity to the classroom.

I used to be a sailor.

Describe your typical day on campus
I teach classes in the Riles building on north campus. Twice a week I start at 8am, which is painfully early, and also a quiet, peaceful time of day on campus.
On the weekends where can we expect to find you?
Hiking, biking, skiing, paddle boarding or cooking ⛷
What does your dream vacation look like?
A place that offers great outdoor adventure and delicious food
