Q: Describe your typical day on campus.
A: Start the week with the New Media Engagement class, impressed to see the students navigate the ever-shifting landscape of digital marketing. Greet the early risers at 8 a.m. Tues/Thurs in PR Case Studies and Research to help companies figure out where they went wrong (and sometimes got it right) in company crises, disasters and scandals. Scurry to the PR lab for an interactive session with my PR Writing students, watching them craft compelling PR materials that are clear and concise. Guide the budding ad professionals in Creative Advertising Strategies as they learn about consumer behavior, creative positioning and executions for popular packaged goods — this semester, it’s pizza! Chat with students about their dreams, goals and challenges during office hours and in the halls. Stay in touch with colleagues and explore new ideas to keep classes fresh and engaging and contribute to our community. Rinse and repeat.
Q: On the weekends where can we expect to find you?
A: Hiking or hanging out with my family!
Q: Favorite Quote
A: “People are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” — Abraham Lincoln
