The most important thing we can do right now —

Social Distancing

What does social distancing mean?

Putting space between you and others.

How much space? 6 feet.

Why is social distancing important?

We can help flatten the curve and prevent the spread.

Social Distancing ⧣ Social Isolation

  • Reach out to others and offer support, empathy, information and, if possible, tangible help. Stay connected using technology.
  • Helping others is a gift, and it is good for your own well-being. You can help others by offering reassurance and emotional support, for instance.

Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t go outside

  • Regular exercise can reduce anxiety. Need to take a walk or ride your bike to get some fresh air? Go for it! Just keep that 6 foot distance. Prefer at-home workouts? Try ours from NAU Campus Rec
  • Take care of your body — Eat healthy meals, move your body, get at least seven hours of sleep a night.

Increase your feel-good activities

Whether it’s mindfulness, talking to your friends and family members, going for walks, journaling, or watching Netflix, now is the time to increase positive experiences in your daily schedule.

👇🏼 Remember this 👇🏼

Constant searching, scrolling or consumption of coronavirus news will only make us feel more afraid and powerless.

For many of us, maintaining routines will help keep us positive, balanced and mentally well.

Stay healthy, stay well
