NAU Classes, office hours, errands around FLG…what can’t she do 💪

By: Tarryn Weigand

This week, I have lots of exciting happenings to look forward to!

Come along to spend a typical Wednesday in my life! I’ve gotten into a good routine by now and today’s agenda features class, friends, work, interns, and more!

First, I start my day with a fit check (duh)! Thanks to our lovely mountain town, there is still snow in March so layers are essential.

My base is jeans and a comfy long sleeve with sneakers, a practical outfit for my busy day ahead.

Driving to the intern office

My first stop of the day is the Intern office- aka the President’s office!!

Today is my NAU Social Media Office Hours, which means our dedicated time to work with other interns and doing collabs together: getting content, making reels, pitching ideas, brainstorming together, and more.

One of my favorite parts is seeing my besties every day because they make work so much fun! :)

Although we may be

Today we went to the Open Air Market to capture content and create a reel for the @nauflagstaff Instagram account (check it out).

After wrapping up Office hours, I head back to my off-campus apartment to get a few assignments done and go grocery shopping.

Here’s todays haul for the low price of $17:

By this time, I’m ready to go to my elective course for the day, Religion and Gender.

It’s on the beautiful North side of campus and only a short 7 minute walk from my off campus apartment.

Depending on the bpm of the song playing in my Airpods, sometimes I can shave off a few minutes from my walk 😉🎧🎶

I took this course not knowing what to expect (I’m a communications major) and I am so glad I did.

Today’s lecture is an intro to our next unit, Daoism

It has been one of my favorites due to my interest in history and the political side of religion.

It also conveniently relates to my political science minor.

Picking up my assistant and running some errands

After class I had to run a few errands in preparation for a big occasion: Mom’s Weekend! As Public Relations Vice President in Gamma Phi Beta, one of my duties is to plan an engaging and exciting Mom’s Weekend for sisters to enjoy with their mothers.

After weeks of planning, the big weekend is finally here!

During my final days of prep, I have been painting banners for Line Dancing and Lemonade & Bingo and Brunch.

Today, I picked up my one of my best friends and assistant, Nina, who helped me get to the final products below…What do you think?? :)

Banner reveal!!!

Though my sorority position can be stressful at times, it’s such a unique experience! I’m so glad I can be there to create fun memories and events to strengthen our sisterhood.

Winding Down 📚😴

To wind down for the night, I work on some class assignments and get ahead on work before bed.

It may seem like just another busy Wednesday, but I know simple college days like these are going to be the sweetest memories to look back on.

As the year comes to a half way point, I am excited to close out the year — but its bittersweet knowing I’m headed into my senior year.

Until next time, Jacks!
