You’ve made your decision and now your journey continues at #NAUOrientation!
Things to know
Check the weather before you come. While the days may be warm, once the sun sets you’ll wish you brought that sweatshirt.
Rain check. Summer is the start of monsoon season so an umbrella and/or rain jacket will definitely come in handy. Trust us, you don’t want to get caught in a downpour.
You’ll be walking all over campus so make sure to bring comfortable shoes that can take you from campus walking paths to nearby trails if you so choose.
We’re at 7,000 feet. Up your H20 intake to avoid altitude sickness. And don’t forget sun screen! Higher elevation = closer to the ☀️.
Parent and family information (did you know we have a sibling track, too!)
Life beyond campus
Once Orientation is over, stick around and explore Flagstaff.
The downtown scene
An easy walk from campus, you’ll find great restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and a vibrant entertainment, arts and culture scene.
Make sure to find and snap a pic with the NAU mural.
Enjoy a cup of coffee
Sit back, relax and enjoy the world around you. Here’s our coffee picks.
Explore the outdoors
Down the road, you’ll find ample opportunities for hiking, running, biking, fishing and boating.
Down the hill, you’ll find Oak Creek Canyon and the red rocks of Sedona.
And in just an hour and a half drive, you’ll be at the one of the greatest wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon.
